The New York-based World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations (WFUWO), an umbrella group that unites women’s organizations worldwide, has called on Ukrainians across the world to unite in resisting Russian aggression in all its forms.
“We appeal to the organizations within our network and to all nations of the world to remain on the side of truth, to clearly distinguish between good and evil, and to support the victim [Ukraine[, not the aggressor [Russia],” WFUWO said.
The organization emphasized that the Kremlin regime is an absolute evil, and its crimes extend far beyond Ukraine.
“Russian aggression poses a threat to the entire world, and if it is not stopped, its destructive force could spread to other countries, undermining the foundations of international security,” the statement said.
February will be remembered as a turning point not only for Ukraine but for the world as a whole.
“The solid eighty-year history of trust between North American and European allies has been unexpectedly shaken,” WFUWO said regarding shifting foreign policy in Washington.
Concurrently, the organization expressed deep gratitude to the European and global partners who stand with Ukraine, supporting it in “this extraordinarily difficult struggle against the evil known as Russia.”
