UWC welcomes NATO’s recognition of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) welcomes NATO’s statement of 9 March 2018 that “four partner countries have declared their aspirations to NATO membership: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, […] Macedonia and Ukraine.”

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko responded to NATO’s statement by declaring that: “I welcome the important, long-awaited and logical decision of NATO to increase Ukraine’s ambitions regarding the Alliance.“

The UWC calls on all NATO member states to proceed with granting Ukraine a NATO Membership Action Plan.

“The Ukrainian World Congress welcomes NATO’s recognition of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and stands united with Ukraine in its quest for full membership in the Alliance” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
