Amid Russia’s ongoing investment of billions of dollars in its information war against Ukraine, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) is ramping up its efforts to promote pro-Ukrainian narratives.
This includes spreading verified, accurate information from Ukrainian organizations and communities around the world through online platforms, such as the newly upgraded ukrainianworldcongress.org website.
The improvements will include presenting news by topic and ten global regions, thus simplifying access to vital information about the UWC’s activities around the world. Additionally, the new platform will feature a dedicated page with opinion columns from respected authors and voices within the global Ukrainian community, allowing readers to glean insight from leading experts and activists.
Improvements to the visual layout of the content will ease navigation. Donors will also benefit from user-friendly pages that offer options to support key UWC initiatives, including Unite With Ukraine and Energize Ukraine, through contributions.
Citizens of Canada and the United States will have a tax receipt option available as well.
The revamped UWC website will serve as a crucial resource for millions of Ukrainians worldwide, providing access to timely information while also providing readers with organizational news and articles from prominent authors within the diaspora.
On Nov. 1, pro-Russian hackers launched a large-scale distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on the UWC and the Unite With Ukraine initiative websites. The cybercriminals attempted to disrupt online resources by overwhelming servers with a flood of requests. However, the technical team successfully mitigated the threat and restored the website’s functionality.
The UWC urges users to access only the official website and to stay updated through its official social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram. Readers can also get the group’s daily news digest delivered to their inbox by subscribing for free here.
