The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) draws the attention of the international community to a video released by the defence team of Ukrainian Member of Parliament and delegate to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Nadiya Savchenko providing very convincing evidence of her innocence.
The former Ukrainian Air Force pilot has endured kidnapping, imprisonment of over a year, involuntary psychiatric evaluation and solitary confinement, and is currently on trial in the Russian Federation on politically motivated charges. The proceedings are closed to the media.
“The Ukrainian World Congress urges the international community todeliver a clear and unequivocal message to Russian authorities demanding the immediate release of Nadiya Savchenko from her illegal detainment in accordance with the terms of the Minsk agreements,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
