The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) joins the international community in strongly condemning the terrorist attack on a hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan on 20 January 2018.
The siege resulted in at least 22 deaths, including seven Ukrainian citizens who were employees of an Afghan airline.
On behalf of the 20-million strong Ukrainian diaspora, the UWC expresses sincere condolences to the Afghan people and prays for all the victims and those injured in this shocking attack.
The UWC also expresses condolences to the families and friends of the Ukrainians whose lives were lost in this senseless tragedy.
“The Ukrainian World Congress expresses solidarity with the Afghan people and calls upon the international community to find effective ways to overcome all forms of terrorism in the world that is the current challenge of our civilized society,” – said the UWC President Eugene Czolij.
