UWC President speaks at the Conference of Ukrainian Ambassadors

On 21 December, Paul Grod, UWC President, Mariia Kupriianova, UWC Executive Director, and Serhiy Kasyanchuk, Director of UWC Mission to Ukraine, joined the Conference of Heads of Diplomatic Missions of Ukraine with the Ambassadors, Permanent Representatives and Consul Generals of Ukraine abroad.

The “Think Big” Conference is taking place on Dec 17-22 2020 online. It aims to define the priorities and objectives of Ukraine’s foreign policy in the near future. President of Ukraine opened the Conference, Prime Minister and Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took part in the plenary sessions of the Conference.

In his remarks, Paul Grod identified key UWC priorities: supporting Ukraine, countering Russian aggression, developing and uniting Ukrainian communities worldwide. UWC President thanked Ukrainian diplomats for effective collaboration internationally in advancing these priorities.

In the context of public diplomacy, UWC President emphasized the work of UWC Regional VPs, UWC Councils and Committees, joint cultural, educational and informational events with the Embassies of Ukraine worldwide, joint initiatives to develop Ukrainian schools and ensure Holodomor recognition.

“We are facing extraordinary challenges today. But, as the global Ukrainian family, we have a shared vision and are ready to work together to strengthen the network of support for Ukraine, unite our global communities and protect the interests of Ukraine internationally” – stated UWC President Paul Grod.
