UWC President Paul Grod visits areas near the front in Eastern Ukraine

During his official visit to Ukraine, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Paul Grod paid a working visit to Donetsk and Kharkiv regions to provide vital support for enhancing Ukrainian defense capabilities. His trip included stops in Dobropillia, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts in the Donetsk region, as well as Izium and Kharkiv in the Kharkiv region — areas heavily affected by Russian attacks, under constant threat, and targeted for elimination by Russia.

UWC President met with combat medics of the 1st battalion of the 12th Special Operations Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine to supply them with a four-wheel drive Mercedes Benz Sprinter Ambulance to be used for the evacuation of their wounded service people.

Paul Grod continued his visit by meeting with the 109th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The UWC President presented an additional 100 FPV drones to Brigade Commander Colonel Oleh Shershukov. This donation is part of an extensive list of strategic equipment provided by the UWC, including 30 tracked armored personnel carriers, 6 Avenger long-range bomber UAV systems, and hundreds of FPV drones. The UWC was presented with the brigade flag as a gesture of gratitude to the global Ukrainian diaspora for their continued support of Ukraine’s defense forces.

UWC President visited the 104th Separate Battalion “Bakhmut” to review the FV432 and FV434 Armored Personnel Carriers donated by the UWC. To date, the UWC, as part of the “Unite with Ukraine” initiative, has donated 57 armored vehicles to Ukrainian security forces, with 30 of these going to the 109th Brigade.

UWC President’s visit underscores the global Ukrainian diaspora’s ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine’s defense and resilience in the face of Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia.
