Ukrainian World Congress President Paul Grod will speak at Stand With Ukraine rally in Washington on Feb. 22 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
The event, organized by UWC member organization UCCA, together with other Ukrainian organizations — Razom and United Help Ukraine—will take place to commemorate the third year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
“It is crucial that we, as concerned Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine, take to the streets and remind society that Ukraine’s fight continues. This is our shared duty on this anniversary,” Grod said.
This rally, along with hundreds of other events across over 70 countries, is registered on the global event map as part of the large-scale advocacy campaign “Stand With Ukraine! Unite for Ukrainian Victory!” organized by the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC).
Its purpose is to remind the world of the third year of full-blown war and the far-reaching consequences of Russia’s genocidal invasion for both Ukraine and the global community.
It also aims to urge democratic governments to mobilize support for Ukraine, intensify pressure on Russia to end the war, and restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
Event registration for the campaign is ongoing.
As of Feb. 21, Ukrainian communities worldwide have registered 832 events – including rallies, exhibitions, and more – in 558 cities and towns.
You can register your event on the online event map for the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion on a dedicated page. This not only helps visually track all the events in one place but also demonstrates the global unity of Ukrainians.
We encourage you to add your event.
The Stand With Ukraine events on the UWC map have been supported by thought leaders and cultural figures.
On Feb. 20, Serhiy Prytula, the volunteer and founder of his eponymous charity foundation, also urged the global Ukrainian community to join the UWC campaign.
