Last week UWC President Paul Grod held a video conference with Witold Jan Waszczykowski, MEP, Head of the Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee and Vice-Chair of EP Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET).
The discussion focused on the security issues and the roadmap to Ukraine’s European integration. Paul Grod thanked the Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee for its contributions to strengthening the relations between the EU and Ukraine and assisting Ukraine in its pro-European strategic course.
The parties emphasized that it is incredibly important to keep reminding the world that this is not a “Ukrainian crisis”. This is the Russian-Ukrainian war, and Russia continues its military aggression to deter Ukraine from further European and Euro-Atlantic integration. UWC consistently advocates for maintaining and strengthening the EU sanctions against Russia until it fully de-occupies Crimea and Ukrainian Donbas.
