UWC PRESIDENT EUGENE CZOLIJ RECOGNIZES THE SUPPORT OF THE SELFRELIANCE FOUNDATION OF SELFRELIANCE UKRAINIAN AMERICAN FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
On May 14, 2011, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij, UWC Secretary General Stefan Romaniw and UWC Financial Officer and World Council of Ukrainian Cooperatives Chair Ihor Laszok participated in the 60th Annual General Meeting of the Selfreliance Ukrainian American Federal Credit Union held in Chicago, U.S.A.
The Selfreliance Ukrainian American Federal Credit Union is one of the largest Ukrainian financial institutions in the United States and, since its founding, has contributed in many ways to the preservation of the Ukrainian national identity and the development of Ukrainian community life, and generously supported UWC activities.
The UWC President greeted the participants at the Annual General Meeting, shared information about UWC activities, and expressed his gratitude to the Selfreliance Ukrainian American Federal Credit Union for its long-standing support of the UWC. Eugene Czolij presented the credit union’s Chairman of the Board Michael Kos, President and CEO Bohdan Watral, and Selfreliance Foundation Chair Oresta Fedyniak with a certificate from the UWC President’s Club “for substantial financial support of UWC’s work.”
In turn, Oresta Fedyniak presented UWC President Eugene Czolij with a cheque in the amount of $5,000 for the May Appeal – UWC’s annual fundraising campaign.
