On 26 May – 4 June, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Paul Grod will fulfill a visit to the capitals of Germany, France, and Italy. The visit includes a series of meetings with high-ranking officials, diplomats, community leaders, and Ukrainian communities in Europe.
The key discussion topics will include strengthening international support for Ukraine, European and Euro-Atlantic integration, countering Russian disinformation, coordinating international assistance to Ukraine in bringing justice to the aggressor state and supporting sanctions policy. Another vital topic to which the UWC President will pay attention will be support for Ukrainian refugees.
In Germany, Paul Grod will meet with leaders of political forces in the Bundestag, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Oleksiy Makeev. He will also hold an open meeting with leaders of Ukrainian community organizations.
On 28 May, the UWC President will meet with leaders of Ukrainian community organizations from across Europe during the XIV Congress of European Congress of Ukrainians.
In Paris, Paul Grod will meet with political leaders, the Ambassador of Ukraine to France, and the Ukrainian community. The UWC President will also participate in a series of cultural and community events from 30 May to 1 June.
In Rome, in addition to meetings with Ukrainian communities and diplomats, the UWC President will have a unique opportunity to personally greet the Italian people and government on the occasion of Italy’s greatest national holiday – Republic Day, 2 June.
