On 17 July 2017, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij addressed the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Advisory Council and President’s Circle in Toronto, Canada, and presented the achievements and priorities of the UWC.
The UWC President focused on efforts related to defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine, supporting the processes of Euro and Euro-Atlantic integration, furthering Ukraine’s reforms and countering Russian disinformation.
Eugene Czolij acknowledged the significant moral and financial support of the UWC by James and Louise Temerty, and Ian Ihnatowycz and Dr. Marta Witer. He also congratulated George Myhal on his recent appointment as a Member of the Order of Canada.
“The Ukrainian World Congress thanks the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and its President Paul Grod for promoting the UWC during its 50th anniversary and for close cooperation on important Ukrainian issues,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
