On 18 July 2019, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) International Election Observation Mission (UWC Mission) to Ukraine’s 2019 Elections presented its Interim Report ahead of the Parliamentary Election in Ukraine during a press conference held at the Ukraine Crisis Media Center in Kyiv, Ukraine.
143 short-term observers from 30 countries will monitor the electoral process on 21 July 2019 in Ukraine and its diplomatic missions around the world.
The UWC Mission is working closely with the observation mission of UWC’s member organization – Ukrainian Congress Committee of America which has registered 32 short-term observers with Ukraine’s Central Election Commission. Together the two missions number 175 short-term observers.
In addition, 125 long-term observers continue to monitor media in 28 countries for any evidence of disinformation with respect to the election.
The UWC Mission is headed by UWC immediate Past President Eugene Czolij, with UWC Vice President Andrew Futey as Deputy Head of Mission and UWC Vice President, Operations Zenon Potichny as Chief Observer.

“The Ukrainian World Congress Mission to Ukraine’s 2019 Elections wishes the Ukrainian authorities success in ensuring a free and democratic election and calls upon the citizens of Ukraine to participate in the Parliamentary Election on 21 July 2019 to exercise their right to vote and chart the future course of their independent state,” stated Head of the UWC Mission Eugene Czolij.
