Zagreb, – on October 23, during the visit of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) delegation to Croatia, the President of the Ukrainian World Congress, Paul Grod, met with the UWC representatives and guests from Eastern European countries.
Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olena Kondratiuk opened the meeting. The Deputy Speaker made an evaluation of the Russian-Ukrainian war and voiced the most urgent needs for Ukraine.
“I was glad to hear that the Ukrainian World Congress and the leaders of the Ukrainian communities of the Balkan and Baltic countries are determined to do everything possible to help their compatriots bring the victory closer in Ukraine!” – Olena Kondratiuk commented during the meeting.
Lenna Koszarny, the Vice-President of the UWC and the head of the UWC Economic Prosperity and Investment Committee (EPIC) commented on how the Ukrainian economy is surviving the harsh war conditions and how the world is planning to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Andriy Futey, the Vice President of the UWC and the President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA), spoke about his recent visit to Kyiv, where he met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, as well as about the supply of essentials to the Ukrainian defenders.
The meeting participants also discussed the UWC’s activities since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. First Vice-President of the UWC Stefan Romaniw presented the main political priorities for the future.
On October 24, at 3:35 p.m. local time, the President of the UWC will speak at the first parliamentary summit of the Crimea Platform.
