The Ukrainian Club in Stockport, Manchester, England, hosted the 77th Annual General Meeting of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) this weekend.
The event began with a prayer and a moment of silence in memory of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, as well as honoring the bright memory of the departed members of the Ukrainian-British community and all those who gave their lives in the war with Russia for the freedom of Ukraine. During the Annual Meeting, Mr Rewko was re-elected as Chairman of AUGB.
The Ukrainian World Congress sincerely congratulates the Ukrainian community on their successful Annual General Meeting and notes the dedicated, hard work of Mr Rewko in the development of Ukrainian public life in the United Kingdom. We wish Mr Rewko success in his work, inspiration and strength to achieve the goals of the AUGB and speedy victory for Ukraine.
The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain is the largest representative body of Ukrainians and people of Ukrainian descent in the United Kingdom. The organization, founded in 1946, works to develop, promote and support the interests of the Ukrainian community in the UK. AUGB is a long-term member of the Ukrainian World Congress and the European Congress of Ukrainians.
