The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) condemns the brutal and insidious attack by Hamas terrorist group on the Israeli people.
“In these dark hours, we stand in solidarity with the people of Israel. The shocking scenes of the Hamas terrorists’ invasion on peaceful Israeli cities remind us of the daily attacks that Russia inflicts on innocent Ukrainian civilians. For decades, Russia and its allies, such as Iran and North Korea, have sponsored terrorist groups, including Hamas, in various parts of the world. The recent attack on Israel is one more crime against the civilized world and Russia’s attempt to further destabilize the rules-based international order,” stated UWC President Paul Grod.
According to several leading political and military analysts, the hands that pushed the Hamas terrorists forward are in Moscow. This might be no surprise considering the close ties between the Hamas and the Russian and Iranian leadership. Moscow has been funding and arming many terrorist organizations in the Middle East, as part of its policy to influence and leverage Israel as part of their geopolitical strategy.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warmly welcomes Hamas leadership in Moscow, as they discuss destabilization of Western democracies through terrorism.
The precisely planned and well-coordinated ruthless attack against Israel on October 7, 2023, indicates that Moscow and Tehran could have provided necessary training and instructions to the Hamas terrorists.
“We once again call on the international community to stand united and provide a tough response to global terrorism and its state sponsors, primarily Russia and Iran. There is no more time for hesitation. The Moscow-led authoritarian club intends to plunge the world into chaos and violence. The terrorists must be stopped immediately – in Ukraine and in Israel. By standing with Israel, Ukraine will be stronger and by standing with Ukraine against Russia, Israel will be stronger,” President Grod added.
