UWC calls on Ukrainians in Russia to help defend Ukraine

During the UWC Summit in Bucharest, UWC President Paul Grod urged Ukrainians living in Russia to support Ukraine’s efforts to defeat Russia. This appeal highlights the UWC’s call for solidarity and assistance in the ongoing war.

“Three years ago, the UWC was forced to suspend the activities of all Ukrainian organizations in Russia. The occupiers opened criminal cases against the leaders of the communities because they were members of an ‘undesirable’ organization – the Ukrainian World Congress,” noted Paul Grod, calling on all Ukrainians and allies to unite and support the resistance efforts against Russia.

“We call on all Ukrainians in Russia and all people of goodwill to join the resistance movement in support of Ukraine. Do not join the Russian troops, do not go to kill Ukrainians, do not support this regime. Do not take to the streets, do not speak publicly, as this will only play into the hands of the Kremlin. But act because your inaction also kills, so dear Ukrainians in Russia – act!” emphasized the UWC President during the Summit.

The UWC’s appeal also addresses the illegitimacy of Russia’s Putin regime.

“By killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Ukrainians, by wiping out Ukrainian cities, and by forcing millions of women and children to flee Ukraine, Russia’s Putin regime has outlawed itself, and Putin’s recent “reappointment” has only rendered the Kremlin leadership even more illegitimate,” the UWC’s appeal states.

After Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, it has no future; it is a territory from which people and God will turn away, and its future generations will spend decades atoning for the occupiers’ wrongdoings and paying reparations, the appeal emphasizes.

“We appeal to all those who have Ukrainian blood flowing in their veins, whose ancestors were deported to Siberia for their faith in Christ, for their native language, or for being a kulak because they owned land that was earned through their own hard work. Remember, rise up and take action! Help Ukraine defend itself!” the appeal concludes.

UWC’s appeal to Ukrainians living on the territory of the Russian Federation 

Dear Ukrainians, Brothers, and Sisters! 

By the will of fate and due to the brutal actions of the Kremlin’s bloody regime, you have found yourself on the territory of the aggressor state, which is currently waging war against your historic Homeland.

By launching a war of aggression in 2014 with the occupation of Crimea and then spreading that war across Ukraine’s entire territory in 2022, the Kremlin regime has committed the greatest crime of military aggression that the world has seen since World War II. By killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Ukrainians, wiping out Ukrainian cities, and forcing millions of women and children to flee Ukraine, Russia’s Putin regime has outlawed itself, and Putin’s recent “reappointment” has only rendered the Kremlin leadership even more illegitimate. This means that all orders, laws, and resolutions adopted by the so-called “Russian authorities” are illegal, criminal, and not binding. There is no future in Russia after the full-scale invasion; it is a territory from which people and God shall turn away, and its future generations shall spend decades atoning for the war and paying reparations for it. 

We appeal to all those who have Ukrainian blood flowing in their veins, whose ancestors were deported to Siberia for their faith in Christ, for their native language, or for being a kulak because they owned land that was earned through their own hard work. 

Remember whose parents’ children you are, the lullabies your mothers sang to you, and the warmth with which your relatives in Ukraine once welcomed you. 

Remember, rise up and take action! 

Help Ukraine defend itself!

Under no circumstances should you go to fight against Ukraine. Instead, you should sabotage military production, cooperate with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian intelligence, and create guerrilla movements to resist the regime!

Words aren’t necessary, as they may get you arrested through your neighbor’s denunciation, but your actions, executed in silence, are!

Become the avenger’s sword by stopping the killer on his own territory!

Every destroyed bridge, every burned fuel tank, and every set of coordinates that reveal the location of occupying Russian troops will be your contributions to the joint Victory of Good over Evil!

Ukraine needs your help now just as much as it needs weapons from its allies!

Don’t be intimidated by the regime’s threats, for there is nothing worse than disgracing your people by collaborating with the occupier! Remember that nothing can stop an idea whose time has come!
