The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) expresses its deep concern over the rapidly deteriorating health of Nadiya Savchenko and calls on the international community to pressure Russian authorities to provide immediate access to her for Ukrainian doctors.
The UWC emphasizes that by denying Ukrainian doctors access to Nadiya Savchenko, the Russian Federation continues to endanger her life, and to violate universal norms of international law and provisions of its own legislation.
“The international community needs to act urgently in order to prevent the loss of another human life as a result of the blatant disregard by Russian authorities of fundamental freedoms and basic human rights,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
