The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) has endorsed a multi-organizational project in France to show the realities of the Russo-Ukrainian war, already in its 11th year.
Called the Shot Ambulance project, the initiative’s centerpiece is an ambulance that was struck by Russians in the Kharkiv region and it will go on display in more than 40 cities across France.
Spearheading the project is the AMF humanitarian effort, a coalition of more than 40 Franco-Ukrainian associations.
“The initiative aims to raise awareness about the horrors of the war in Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Kogutyak, UWC Vice President for Western Europe and Association of Ukrainians in France Vice President.
For the past two years, the first responder vehicle has been on a mission called “Ukraine is Calling,” organized by the non-profit group LUkraine from Luxembourg, serving as a poignant reminder that the bloody war is still ongoing.
Geography scope of the initiative.
“This project is a shining example of how communities can unite to implement significant national initiatives. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every organizer and participant in this important project,” Kogutyak added.
Currently, the ambulance is being shown in the seaport city of Nice located on the French Riviera.
“Come and meet us to discover the haunting story of this ambulance, which serves as a testament to the war crimes committed by Russia,” the organizers, Ambulance Mitraillée France, said.
The shot-up ambulance had earlier been exhibited in Rome as a part of a project organized in cooperation with the Christian Association of Ukrainians in Italy, a UWC member organization.
