Unknown individuals blocked Ukrainian World Congress observers at Mykolayiv polling station
Unknown individuals with athletic appearances blocked two Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) observers from Canada and Moldova who were monitoring the Presidential vote in Ukraine at polling station №480752 on 9 Paryzka Komuna in Mykolayiv.
The incident occurred after the Chairperson of the Precinct Election Commission (PEC) requested one male with forged media accreditation to leave the premises. This individual, along with a second person, then started a brawl in the polling station, releasing tear gas.
The observers, members of the PEC and the candidates’ observers were forced to barricade themselves on the premises. Currently, the polling station is being stormed by approximately 20 people. The observers and PEC members are attempting to stop the attack.
