On June 28 at 22:00 (Kyiv time), the UN Security Council will meet to discuss the shelling of the shopping center in Kremenchuk, according to the Norwegian Permanent Mission to the UN.
The missile strike on the Amstor shopping center, which had about a thousand visitors at the time, shocked Ukraine and the world. There are no military facilities near the mall.
“It’s disgusting to watch Russia’s reactions to Russia’s missile strike on Kremenchuk. Ordinary Russians rejoice on social media. Russian diplomats and officials are spreading crazy conspiracy theories, denying that there was a strike at all. Russia is a country of murderers and outright liars,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
Demolition of the Amstor shopping mall is underway. More than a thousand people worked all night on the ruins – rescuers, police, medics and volunteers. According to Poltava Governor Dmitry Lunin on Telegram, as of now, 18 people have died as a result of the Russian strike. Another 36 people are missing. The search continues. It is unlikely that many survivors will be found in the smoldering debris, as the strike created a tremendous fire ball.
