On 8 October 2014 the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) International Election Observation Mission to the 26 October 2014 Parliamentary Elections in Ukraine began its work.
The goal of the Mission is to support an open and transparent electoral process and offer a objective international assessment.
The Mission plans to monitor the elections throughout Ukraine while taking into account the safety of the observers.
It is anticipated that observers from various countries will participate in the Mission.
The UWC Mission is headed by UWC Third Vice President Peter Sztyk and the Chief Observer is Olena Koszarny.
“Monitoring elections in Ukraine is one of the UWC’s priorities. As this year’s Parliamentary Elections are of particular significance, the UWC is once again deploying a volunteer mission to Ukraine,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
