The Ukrainian World Congress also calls to commemorate in 2015 the following key dates in the history of the Ukrainian people:

25th anniversary of the Declaration of the State Sovereignty of Ukraine; -
20th anniversary of Ukraine’s membership in the Council of Europe; -
1000th anniversary of the death of Ukrainian Saint Kniaz Volodymyr the Great; -
200th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian composer Mykhailo Verbytskyi; -
175th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s literary work Kobzar
150th anniversary of the birth of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky;
100th anniversary of the victory of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen on Makivka hill;
80th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poet Vasyl Symonenko;
65th anniversary of the death of Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army Roman Shukhevych;
30th anniversary of the death of Ukrainian poet Vasyl Stus.
