On 9 February 2015, the leadership of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) met with Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Culture of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kyrylenko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalie Ann Jaresko and Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit.
Topics included discussion of the further cooperation between the UWC and Ukraine on strategic issues, the Memorandum on Cooperation between the Ukrainian World Congress and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, specifically assistance for Ukraine from the West with the escalation of Russian aggression, UWC humanitarian aid for Ukraine and the opening of the UWC Mission to Ukraine.
The UWC leadership also met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Australia to Ukraine Doug Trappett to review current events in Eastern Ukraine and encourage Australia to continue supporting Ukraine in the fight against the blatant aggression of the Russian Federation.
The UWC delegation, led by President Eugene Czolij, included UWC Secretary General and President of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations Stefan Romaniw, UWC Vice President Olena Koszarny, Director of the UWC Mission to Ukraine Serhiy Kasyanchuk and UWC Director of Humanitarian Initiatives Dr. Ulana Suprun.
