The Maple Hope Foundation, supported by the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), raised $101,530 in a Canada-wide fundraising campaign called, “Helicopters for the Frontline.”
The campaign united Ukrainians in Canada and across the world in a display of solidarity with and compassion for their beleaguered homeland.
The primary fundraiser collected $66,530, including a contribution from the E+ Initiative, a Ukrainian nonprofit group composed mostly of medical doctors.
An additional $35,000 was raised thanks to partners — the UWC through its Unite with Ukraine initiative, which will also assist in delivering this vital equipment.
This medical evacuation helicopter will make a significant contribution to saving the lives of Ukrainian defenders. It will be used for evacuation and the rapid transport of wounded soldiers, a crucial function since every second counts in the event of an injury or wound.
