On 20 June 2016, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij extended written greetings to the organizers and participants of the first Canada-Ukraine Business Forum held in Toronto, Canada, within the framework of the Canada‑Ukraine Trade and Investment Support project.

This Forum, which provided a unique opportunity for Canadian and Ukrainian political and business leaders to meet and explore new opportunities for cooperation, served as an important step in the further realization of the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement.

The Forum was organized by Global Affairs Canada and Ukraine’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, in partnership with the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce chaired by Zenon Poticzny and the Conference Board of Canada.

“The Ukrainian World Congress encourages the organization of similar business-to-business events that, in addition to building stronger economic relations between countries, will also support the economic reform and development efforts of the Ukrainian state and help pave the way for broad-based economic development in Ukraine,” commented UWC President Eugene Czolij.
