Ukrainian World Congress delivers an additional 15 armored vehicles for the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

As part of its #UniteWithUkraine campaign, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) delivered 15 Armored Personnel Carriers to Ukraine. UWC President Paul Grod and Unite with Ukraine Director Andrew Potichnyj personally handed over the latest military aid package donated by the global Ukrainian diaspora.

The latest package contained 15 armored and tracked vehicles purchased and imported from the UK. It included 13 FV 432 Armored Personnel Carriers, 1 CVRT Stormer, 1 CVRT Shielder, ten fully restored GAZ-66 all-wheel drive military cargo-hauling trucks, and two fully restored MT-LB Amphibious Armored Personnel Carriers. Twenty-seven pieces of equipment valued at USD 1.85 million or UAH 68 million were presented to Major General Ihor Tantsyura, Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“For us, the foremost priority is delivering quality equipment in full cooperation and coordination with our Ukrainian partners. We must listen to their needs to best understand what kind of support is required to enhance the capabilities of TDF brigades on the battlefield. The successful procurement and delivery of these vehicles is an excellent illustration of the level of scale of the many projects we have realized in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.” Stated Andrew Potichnyj, the Director of the Unite with Ukraine initiative at the Ukrainian World Congress.

“At the Ukrainian World Congress, our top focus is to support the civilians who have become soldiers in the Territorial Defense Forces during Russia’s genocidal war on Ukraine. Through our “Unite with Ukraine” initiative, we are doing everything possible to support the TDF by utilizing all available resources. We work closely with high-ranking members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, such as General Tantsyura and General Zaluzhnyi, as well as their teams, to ensure that our efforts and the diaspora’s contributions effectively support our heroes during the counter-offensive.” Stated Paul Grod, Ukrainian World Congress President.

“Today, we are pleased to announce that, as per General Tantsyura’s request, the procurement process for the next batch of 15 armored vehicles is currently underway in the UK. Our team is working tirelessly to ensure a speedy delivery of the vehicles. We expect to receive them soon.” Continued Grod

In the military vehicle space, to date, the UWC has purchased and delivered fourteen Spartan FV103s, twenty-two FV432 APCs, two FV434 APCs, two FV104 Samaritans, one CVRT Stormer, one CVRT Shielder, as well as restored seventy GAZ-66 all-wheel drive military cargo-hauling trucks, and two MT-LB Amphibious Armored Personnel Carriers, totaling just over USD 4 million or UAH 147 million.

“The assistance provided by you to the units of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is invaluable in our efforts to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The quality military equipment provided by the Ukrainian World Congress, worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias, is evidence of our organizations’ true partnership and cooperation. The Armed Forces of Ukraine appreciate the partnership of the global Ukrainian diaspora, especially at a time when it is most needed to defend our country,” stated Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi in a letter to the World Congress.

“Achieving true independence involves great sacrifice and an even greater human cost. Ukraine’s bravest and most dedicated citizens are paying that price on the battlefield, and as people of Ukrainian heritage, members of the diaspora, and simply as human beings, we must offer our full support to Ukraine’s defenders using all our available resources. Ukraine is still standing today for one reason – the unparalleled sacrifice made by the Ukrainian people. Their heroism, bravery, and selflessness have kept this country on the map of the world as an independent state.

We must remember that the war for that independence is far from over. As Ukrainians continue to fight for their right to exist, we, as the diaspora, are obligated to do everything possible to help bring this inevitable victory one step closer.” Concluded Potichnyj.

“Today, we have received an additional fifteen armored and tracked vehicles from the Ukrainian World Congress, bringing our total count to forty-two personnel carriers,” – announced Major General Ihor Tansyura, Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Previously, we had already obtained twenty-seven of these vehicles from the UWC.”

“Our vehicles will perform various tasks such as transporting personnel to the front line, delivering cargo, transporting the wounded, and providing reliable protection during those movements, among other combat duties,” – continued Major General Ihor Tantsyura.

The Ukrainian World Congress, as part of its #UniteWithUkraine initiative has provided more than $50 million in aid to the Territorial Defense Forces, the Armed Forces and other Ukrainian security structures, funded from donations in over 70 countries.
