The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) congratulates the Chair of the UWC International Sports Committee Laryssa Barabash Temple on her induction into the Ukrainian Sports Hall of Fame on 17 September 2016.
The ceremony took place during the Grand Opening of the Ukrainian Sports Museum and Hall of Fame in the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Whippany, USA, which included the inaugural induction into the Ukrainian Sports Hall of Fame of athletes and individuals who have dedicated themselves to the celebration of sport as a universal language.
Laryssa Barabash Temple has tirelessly dedicated herself to the promotion of Ukrainian athletes in international sporting events. As a partner of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Laryssa Barabash Temple’s many achievements included support for the participation of Ukrainian athletes in the ХХVI Summer Olympic Games in 1996 in Atlanta and the XIX Winter Olympic Games in 2002 in Salt Lake City, USA. Laryssa Barabash Temple was recognized in 2013 for her contribution to the development of sport in Ukraine with the Order of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
