The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) joins the international community in condemning the terrorist attacks on 17 and 18 August 2017 on the streets of Barcelona and Cambrils, Spain, crowded with tourists in the midst of the tourist season.
The attacks claimed the lives of at least thirteen people with more than a hundred injured from 34 countries.
On behalf of the 20-million strong Ukrainian diaspora, the UWC expresses sincere condolences to the families of the victims and prays for all of the victims of thеse horrific acts of terrorism.
“The Ukrainian World Congress is appalled by these acts of terrorism targeting tourist areas and expresses solidarity with the Spanish people in the wake of this tragedy,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
