The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) commends the advance of healthcare reforms in Ukraine that demonstrate the ability and potential of Ukraine for implementing positive societal changes designed to improve the quality of life for every Ukrainian citizen while rooting out corruption.
Healthcare reforms, spearheaded by Acting Minister of Health Dr. Ulana Suprun, were adopted by the Parliament of Ukraine in the fall of 2017, fundamentally changing the healthcare system and kick starting a series of changes to healthcare in Ukraine that will guarantee equal access to medical aid and standard health care services for all citizens as financed by the state.
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon the international community, particularly ministries of health and related non-governmental organizations, to support the initiatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine under the leadership of Acting Minister Dr. Ulana Suprun as it works for the benefit of every Ukrainian citizen equally and the prosperity of the democratic Ukrainian state” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
