The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon the global Ukrainian community to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Act proclaiming the Restoration of the Ukrainian State on 30 June 1941, which is one of the key dates in the history of the building of the Ukrainian state on the path to the re‑establishment of Ukraine’s independence on 24 August 1991.

This historic act declared “the establishment of the Ukrainian State, for which entire generations of the greatest sons of Ukraine sacrificed their lives,” called for “the entire Ukrainian nation to not lay down its arms until a Sovereign Ukrainian Authority is established on all Ukrainian lands,” and confirmed that the “Sovereign Ukrainian Authority will guarantee the Ukrainian Nation order and lawfulness, the full development of its strengths, and the satisfaction of all its needs.”

“The Ukrainian World Congress calls upon the global Ukrainian community to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Act proclaiming the Restoration of the Ukrainian State on 30 June 1941 and with this, to pay tribute to the heroic deeds of all fighters for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, including those, who today defend the Eastern borders of Ukraine from Russian aggression,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
