Ukrainian Foriegn and Energy Ministries are deeply disappointed with Canada’s turbine decision

As reported on Ukraine’s government portal, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Energy express their deep disappointment in connection with the decision of the Government of Canada to issue a permit for the return to Germany of the Nord Stream 1 turbines repaired by Siemens Canada.

On the day of the announcement of this decision, the Russian military shelled residential neighborhoods in Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih and a number of settlements in Zaporizhzhya Oblast. Russian Federation is a terrorist state, deliberately striking houses and other civilian infrastructure. Peaceful people died, dozens were injured.

This joint agreement between Canada and Germany is the easing of sanctions according to the demands of Russia.  This is a dangerous precedent that goes against the rule of law and will have only one consequence – it will strengthen Moscow’s sense of impunity.
