Light Balance Kids, a Ukrainian teenage dance troop known for neon light-and-dance performances, went up on one of the most popular US TV shows, America’s Got Talent and reached the semi-finals.
The show has been running since 2006 and boasts an average of 10 million viewers every season. It hosted a short-yet-very influential teenagers’ story about Ukraine’s fight for freedom, the challenges the band overcame, and their parents defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders.
“There is such an amazing message here,’ Howie [Howie Mandel, a Canadian actor and the show host] said. ‘Where you come from, at this point, is arguably the darkest place in the world and you come across the globe to bring us light. And if I can do anything, anything, on behalf of America, and AGT All-Stars to bring you even more light than you brought us, I’d like to do that for you.”
