Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces’ Commander reports on the situation in Bakhmut

Brigadier General Viktor Khorenko, Commander of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine, visited Bakhmut to familiarize himself with the current situation in the city. The Commander talked to fighters in the Special Operations Forces units defending this fortress city. SSO stated this in a message on Facebook.

“Indeed, the situation in Bakhmut is difficult, but who better than you to know what to do and how to act in the current circumstances? Your work here again proves that the SSO is primarily about quality over quantity,” Viktor Khorenko told the SSO warriors.

The Commander emphasized the importance of the Special Forces groups’ operations during the defense of Bakhmut and noted the professionalism of the SSO defenders.

For a long time, the Special Operations Forces warriors have been fully fulfilling the tasks of defending the city, which remains the hottest spot on the frontline. Despite the enemy’s superiority and massive attacks aimed at destroying city neighborhoods, the Ukrainian Special Forces operators strike the enemy in key areas, destroying its personnel and hindering Russian troops’ advance.
