The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated Urozhaine in Donetsk Oblast, the General Staff reported. The counteroffensive continues.
“Units of the defense forces of Ukraine liberated the settlements of Urozhaine during the offensive operations, consolidated their positions on the ground gained, inflicted artillery fire on identified enemy targets, and carried out counter-battery countermeasures,” the General Staff said.
The Ukrainian military gained success near Urozhaine for several days in a row. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also liberated Staromaiorske at the end of July.
Ukraine’s defense forces continue to advance on the Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdiansk fronts.
“The defence forces continue to conduct offensive operations south of the city of Bakhmut on the Bakhmut front, and consolidate their positions on the ground gained. Heavy fighting continues,” the General Staff added.
