Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said that Ukraine would have its way of joining the North Atlantic Alliance.
“Every country has its own path when it comes to membership in NATO. We are certainly encouraged by what we are seeing with Sweden, and when it comes to Ukraine, they will have their own path to NATO ascension,” Singh explained.
However, now the main task of the US and its partners is to provide Ukraine with everything it needs on the battlefield. “Our efforts right now are focused on the security packages that we’re providing, that you see us roll out every week or so, and what we can get to what we can get to them on the battlefield that they need right away,” Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary noted.
Earlier, the European Parliament approved a resolution calling for NATO to accept Ukraine. The Ukrainian World Congress welcomes the decision of the legislative body of the European Union.
“We are grateful to the Members of the European Parliament and to the Ukrainian communities across NATO member states for their strong and consistent advocacy efforts to secure Ukraine’s rapid Euro-Atlantic integration, including NATO membership and security guarantees,” Paul Grod, UWC President, stated.
