The Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched a counteroffensive against Russian troops, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. In the last few days, it became known about the liberation of at least four settlements. They are Storozheve, Blahodatne and Makarivka in Donetsk Oblast, and Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The Russians are trying to slow down the actions of the Ukrainian military. The occupiers blew up a dam on the Mokri Yaly River in Donetsk Oblast, which caused flooding on both river banks.
Meanwhile, Ukraine returned home from Russian captivity another 95 defenders.
