Ukraine to present “victory plan” to US in September

In September, Ukraine will present the United States with a “victory plan,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced at a briefing on August 27. A strategy to end the war will be delivered to US President Joe Biden, as well as both presidential candidates – Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

“It is fair that I first present it to the US President. His support will determine the success of this plan. Whether we will receive what is outlined in this plan, or not. Whether we will have the freedom to use what is in this plan, or not,” Zelenskyy said.

The proposal takes in the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Russia’s Kursk Region. “Kursk is part of our plan for Ukraine’s victory… One direction, part of which has already been implemented, is Kursk. The second direction is Ukraine’s strategic role in global security infrastructure. The third direction is a strong package to compel Russia to end the war through diplomatic means. The fourth is economic,” the president explained. Zelenskyy didn’t offer further details but stated that the plan is ready.

Earlier, Peter Dickinson, a UK journalist and researcher, noted that Putin is downplaying the significance of Ukraine’s offensive on Kursk. “Despite this very deliberate show of indifference, there have been numerous indications that Putin is in reality extremely rattled by the Ukrainian invasion,” Dickinson remarked.
