UCCA launches urgent campaign to raise awareness and support for Ukraine

The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) is launching a dynamic three-pronged campaign aimed at raising public awareness of the situation in Ukraine and rallying support for the country’s plight.

The “public-facing” campaign endeavors to remind Americans of the critical stakes in Ukraine’s fight against Russia, while urging lawmakers to take action before it’s too late.

In 2022, Americans stood shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine. […] Now, in 2025, that energy is fading. As Ukraine endures its third year under siege, the U.S. is at a tipping point,” the UCCA writes.

The Trump administration and its allies in Congress have threatened to cut all military and intelligence aid to Ukraine, the community said.

We are facing the very real possibility that the world’s most powerful democracy will turn its back on one of its most critical allies. We cannot let that happen,” the UCCA says.

Ukraine is fighting not only for its own freedom but for the future of democracy worldwide, the campaign organizers stress.

The awareness campaign will focus on three main avenues: a targeted social media push aimed at young Americans and voters in key regional voters; billboards in Washington, D.C., urging support for Ukraine, and the sharing of pro-Ukrainian content online. Additionally, the campaign will include paid media placements in both digital and print and public service announcements to further spread the message.

This campaign will ensure Americans remember what’s at stake – and will help stop aid from disappearing into political theater,” the UCCA said.
