The UWC President is going to South America to build on support for Ukraine

The President of the Ukrainian World Congress, Paul Grod, will make an official visit to several South American countries: Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. The trip will begin on August 2 and extend over a two week period.

His purpose is to consolidate these countries’ broad support for Ukraine.  This will be conducted through a series of meetings with high-ranking officials such as diplomats, politicians and opinion leaders. The program includes roundtables, meetings with the media and discussions of current issues with Ukrainian organizations and communities.

In Brazil, Paul Grod will visit São Paulo and the country’s capital, Brasília. The meetings will focus on protecting Ukraine’s territorial integrity, the role of the UWC in strengthening relations between Brazil and Ukraine, as well as current issues regarding the Ukrainian minority in Brazil.

The UWC President will also make a visit to the Argentinian capital, Buenos Aires. These high-level meetings will be dedicated to building on strengthening support for Ukraine around the South American region, in the context of Argentinian leadership.

A significant event will be the opening of celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the Ukrainian Cultural Society “PROSVITA” in Argentina.

Details of the visit will be announced later on UWC resources. Stay tuned for updates on UWC resources.
