The President of Ukraine will take part in the summit of the European Council

Today, President Volodymyr Zelensky will speak at the summit of the European Council. He mentioned his attendance in his October 19 evening address. 

“The key topic, of course, is challenges to our energy, both Ukrainian and European. We will respond to the terrorist threat together,” he said.

According to the EU website, the October 20-21 summit will focus on Ukraine, energy, economic issues, and foreign relations. “The European Council will discuss the latest developments in connection with Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine, including its consequences in Ukraine and other countries. In this regard, the EU leaders will also discuss the continuation of the EU’s support to Ukraine.”
