A Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft departed Halifax Saturday, carrying the first Leopard 2 main battle tank Canada is sending to Ukraine, National Defense Minister Anita Anand reported on Twitter.
“Canada stands with the people of Ukraine – and we’ll continue to provide Ukraine’s Armed Forces with the equipment that they need to win,” she said.
In an hour, Anand published a video of the loading and departure, adding that “Canada’s support for Ukraine is unwavering.”
