Since June, the damage caused to Ukraine by the full-scale war unleashed by Russia has doubled and exceeded $700 billion as of the beginning of 2023, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said during a government meeting on Tuesday, according to UNIAN.
“In conjunction with the World Bank, we plan to carry out another assessment of Ukraine’s needs for rapid recovery. I want to remind you that we have a fixation for the beginning of June. At that time, the figure was 350 billion dollars in damages. Taking into account the latest attacks on our infrastructure, today this amount exceeds 700 billion dollars,” Shmyhal said.
