#StandWithUkraine UWC Statement on Ukraine’s Day of Unity

For eight years, the Ukrainian people have bravely defended their country against brutal Russian aggression. The price of Russia’s imperialistic ambition were thousands of lives lost and millions lives shattered.  

Today, Russia is massing troops and weapons near Ukraine’s borders and threatening a further invasion of sovereign Ukrainian territory.

We must respond with unity and resolve. On this symbolic day of Ukraine’s Unity, the Ukrainian World Congress calls on all Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine to stand with Ukraine and stand against Russian aggression. We urge Ukraine’s allies to provide military and technical aid to Ukraine and roll out punishing sanctions against Russia.
