The Ukrainian World Congress has prepared a template letter of appeal to governments that Ukrainian communities and organizations worldwide can use as part of the global advocacy campaign StandWithUkraine on the occasion of the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, marking a decade of the ongoing war.
The letter calls on each country’s government to endorse necessary legal measures and establish mechanisms to transfer frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine. Additionally, it urges holding Russia accountable for the crimes committed in Ukraine.
“These measures are morally justified, considering the ongoing full-scale war waged by Russian dictator Putin and his associates against Ukraine for two years. Despite ample time, Russia has shown no willingness to cease armed aggression or compensate Ukraine for the devastating war crimes, resulting in significant damage to Ukraine’s infrastructure and economy due to Russia’s military aggression,” the letter reads.
You can download a sample letter of appeal at the following link. The letter can serve as both a supplement to your peaceful rally and an independent advocacy tool to help Ukraine’s interests.
