The UWC calls for support for Ukraine on the Day of Prayer for Peace

In response to Pope Francis’ call to pray for peace in Ukraine on January 26, 2022, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) invites Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine to support the Day of Prayer for Peace around the world, regardless of denomination or religion.

The UWC has consistently emphasized in its appeals to world leaders that Russia’s aggression is not only a serious threat to Ukraine’s sovereignty, but could lead to a large-scale and bloody war in the region not seen since World War II.

On the Day of Prayer for Peace, Ukrainians and all concerned will gather in temples and holy places to pray in person and online. It is already known that in Fatima, Portugal, part of the Rosary to the Mother of God of Fatima will be read in Ukrainian. You can join the prayer in Fatima online by following the link, at 23:30 Kyiv time.

Fatima is a special place for believers, because it was there a hundred years ago that the Mother of God gave the prophecy to pray for the conversion of Russia.

In Ukraine, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC, invites all the faithful of the UGCC to join the prayer vigil on January 26. From 9:00 to 21:00 in Kyiv, everyone will be able to join the round-the-clock prayer here.
