As if endorsing its status as a sponsor of terrorism, Russia once again pummeled the Ukrainian civilian infrastructure with a barrage of rockets, taking the lives of six civilians, injuring 36 more and hitting 16 infrastructure facilities, National Police chief Ihor Klymenko reported, according to Liga.Novyny.
The casualties include three killed and 20 wounded in the Kyiv suburb of Vyshgorod, where a missile hit an apartment building.
In Kyiv, the rockets hit at least one infrastructure facility and a two-story house. The water supply in the city was suspended.
Kharkiv and its oblast were de-energized, and public electric transport halted.
The Air Force Command said 51 of 70 enemy rockets and five kamikaze drones were shot down during the barrage. The missiles – X-101/X555 and Kalibrs – had been launched by 10 missile-carrying Tu-95 strategic bombers from Rostov Oblast and the Caspian Sea area in Russia as well as by warships from the Black Sea.
