FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Let us remember
International Holodomor Memorial Day
Saturday, November 24
On the 79th anniversary of the Ukrainian Genocide
Saturday, November 24, 2012 marks International Holodomor Memorial Day.
On this day, let us remember the innocent victims in solidarity with the international community:
-
Honour the memory of Holodomor victims by pausing for a moment of silence at 19:32 h (7:32 p.m.) local time; -
·Light a candle of remembrance in your home; -
Participate in events organized by your local community.
This is the bare minimum which we should do, not only for the millions of victims, but also for our descendants, who must always remember the Holodomor and heighten the international community’s sensitivity to avoid the reoccurrence of similar tragedies.
Let us reveal the truth about the Holodomor to the world.
