Russians plan provocation at Kursk NPP

The Russians are planning a provocation at the Kursk NPP and are preparing to evacuate the local population, the National Resistance Center reported. The nuclear power plant is located in the west of Russia, 110 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

“According to the underground, preparations for evacuation from the zone of possible radioactive contamination in the event of an accident at the nuclear power plant are underway in the Kursk region. For this, local authorities were tasked with creating a transport register,” the NRC reported.

The relevant documents came into the possession of the National Resistance Center. Russia plans to evacuate up to 57,000 people, that is, only 5% of the population of the specified oblasts.

The Russian Federation wants to use the provocation at the Kursk NPP to divert the world’s attention from the seizure of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

“Note that the Defense Forces of Ukraine operate exclusively on the territory of Ukraine and do not plan any attacks on nuclear power plants,” the NRC says.

Earlier, Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, stated that Russia is unlikely to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine; simultaneously, an explosion at the Zaporizhzhia NPP provoked by the occupiers is more likely.
