Russian occupation authorities are searching out children whose parents did not send them to Russian schools. Minors are persecuted because of their unwillingness to study according to the invaders’ educational program.
“The Russians have created appropriate groups of collaborators who record, search and check the child’s attendance at school. If such cases are detected, parents are threatened with deprivation of parental rights,” the National Resistance Center reports.
Russians oblige parents to have Russian passports. “At the same time, both parents must have it; otherwise, the child will be prohibited from studying, and therefore the parents will also be deprived of their rights,” the NRC adds.
In addition, the occupiers introduced free meals for elementary school students in the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine. However, the child can eat at school only if the parents with a Russian passport apply.
Previously, the National Resistance Center reported that Russian forces in the occupied territories use children as “human shields.” The invaders are stationing personnel in buildings where minors live.
